A few courtesy guidelines for posting pictures on the site: - Stick with gifs and jpegs as Windows IE doesn't like png and Macs don't like bmp.
- Please keep them small (or smallish). Not sure of a file size limit, but most people are using modems to connect and a page full of 30 and 50k images is going to lead to significant load times. If you can't get your image size down, ask around as there may be people who can help out.
While on the topic of posting pictures:We do like to see clear constructive criticism; however we also understand that people have their own thresholds/limits and modes of expression. With that in mind, here are some helpful do's and dont's to go by: DO offer praise. DO offer advice and suggestions. DO ask "how did you get that neat effect?" DO NOT flame. DO NOT troll. Constructive criticism = good and growth in development. Negativism = bad and leads to flame wars. Please keep that in mind. If you still post a negative comment and it inflames, try your best to put out the fires, or take it to the administrators. Remember, written text is easy to misconstrue. Everybody needs to take a few minutes and calm down after reading a potentially inflammatory post before they reply, and above all try to give the person the benefit of the doubt. We're all good people here because mean people are given the boot.
